Welcome to Tres Hombres Restaurant & Bar

Tres Hombres Restaurant & Bar (Tres), located at 100 Broadway Street in downtown Chico, opened January 7, 1987. The building in which it resides has a rich history. First completed in 1861 by John Bidwell, the founder of Chico, 100 Broadway Street was the home of the first post office in what would become downtown Chico and was also Bidwell’s office as well as the Bidwell General Store. In approximately 1915, the building was sold by his wife, Annie Bidwell, to the Kilpatric family, whose descendants still own it today. Within its iconic brick walls, the Kilpatric family opened Kilpatric and Sons Grocerteria, a modern grocery store and first of its kind in this area. Through the decades it would also house numerous retail and professional businesses – until it became home to Tres Hombres.

For the past 35 years, Tres has been a staple downtown providing a fun atmosphere, the largest selection of tequila north of Sacramento and great food. With a large footprint, Tres offers bar and cocktail seating, large tables perfect for celebrations and Taco Bar seating for those interested in a cool experience. Our Blue Agave Room, a private room rental, is a great place for business meetings, rehearsal dinners, birthday parties, anniversary celebrations and more. This elegant space comes with a bartender, separate entrance, private bathrooms, media screen, music and a day of event coordinator.

Our house favorites include: Pollo Mole Negro, Camarones a la Diablo, and Mole Rib Eye. We also have some great salads and bowls perfect for lunch or a lighter dinner option. Come experience polished Mexican food, a fun atmosphere and great margaritas, beer and wine.

If you have not had a chance to visit Tres, we invite you to come check out our new menu and seasonal drink specials. For the month of October we will be donating 10% of proceeds every Thursday to the New Enloe Comprehensive Cancer Center.
